One of Freerider MX's contributing photographers from Europe, Italian Ricky Monti, made the finals of the 2010 Red Bull Illume Image Quest. Now this is a massive deal as he was 1 of 50 finalists chosen out of nearly 23,000 entrants. Ricky's shot that was chosen ran in the 2009 FRMX Photo Annual and it can now be seen along with the other 49 photos in their full glory in Trinity College Dublin, Ireland.

The open-air exhibition is open until September 11 and is free to the public, for anyone traveling overseas or fans of FMX overseas. Every evening after dark, the images illuminate the front square of the university. Gates to the exhibition are opened every night between 8-10pm. The images are arguably the world’s greatest collection of action and adventure sports photography.

Ricky told us on returning to his home in Italy, "Tuesday I was in Dublin for the RedBull Illume 2010 ceremony and exhibition of the 50 top pictures of 22.764 submitted during the contest. I was a finalist at "Sequence" category with a picture of Vanni Oddera, an Italian FMX rider. For me it was a big pleasure to be together with some of the best sport photographers in the world. I want to say thanks to RedBull Illume for the great event!"
