Spaniard Dany Torres dominated the Costa Rica round of X-Knights FMX competition held over the weekend. Our boy Blake "Bilko" Williams finished third behind Japan's Eigo Sato. X-Knights, an event building its reputation as the biggest and best in South America, was an emotional one for many of the riders as it marked one year since the passing of Jeremy Lusk, who sadly passed away after his crash at the 2009 X-Knights event. This year, besides questions over judging, "Yeah Villa got fingered ... Sucks!" said Bilko on his Twitter page when referring to the results, all the riders went home safely in one piece.
It was Bilko's first competition back since injuring his knee at X Games last year and it was great to see him finish on the podium against a star studded field. It's still early days for the young Aussie and with more time on the bike no doubt he'll be back to his winning ways before too long.
We're trying to track down Bilko for an interview right now so when we have some more news we'll post it for you guys right away. Congrats to Dany and Eigo, and to Villa we hope better luck with the judges comes your way mate next time around.
