A Thursday at the QLD MotoPark

With Christmas and new years finally behind me but still hanging on to me, I decided it was time to burn off some Kg’s the only fun way I knew. I called up good mate Robbie Marshall who is always keen to throw down some laps and we teed up a ride out at the all-new Queensland Moto Park.

The track is roughly an hour and a half from the Goldy, and since Marshall was heading from the opposite direction I headed out there with team mate Kain Saul. This was the first time I’ve been out to the complex and had heard mixed opinions, some were into and some weren’t, but like all mx tracks if you get there on the right day after a bit of rain and a bit of maintenance it makes it all worth while, and today what that day out at the Moto Park. Since the track had been freshly prepped and was loamy from the rain the night before it was incredibly fun to ride, also not to forget it was a Thursday morning and only the boys who picked riding over work were out there and the track had some great lines.

After doing a fair few laps we all headed over to the ramps for some fun. The FMX compound here is by far the safest I’d seen, with three ramps 40ft, 65ft and the standard 75ft all dug into the back of the downy.

All the boys had a mad time out there as well as my self, can’t wait to get back out there again as there is so much more to do than just jump ramps and do laps.
